A unique flower parade in the Vosges

If you have to go out just once in April, it will be to the daffodil festival in Gérardmer. It’s a wonderful celebration of spring, and you’ll be amazed at both the imposing floats and the smaller creations created by the volunteers.

The Gérardmer daffodil, the most beautiful!

Did you know that the daffodils used to decorate the floats are wild? It’s a narcissus that grows in and around Gérardmer.

These flowers are picked by many little hands, including children from Gérardmer schools and adult volunteers.

Daffodils may be picked, but they may not be sold in Gérardmer in the year of the daffodil festival. Daffodils can be found from March in the valleys (Rochesson, Vagney, Xonrupt, Liezey Le Tholy, etc.) and until late April or even early May on the Vosges crests.
